Contract Type: Casual

Location: To cover Telford (Shropshire) & Stafford

Shift Pattern: 08:30am to 14:30pm

Salary: £12.21 per hour 

Interviews: W/C 2nd March 2026


The role: 

We are looking to engage with Bank Catering Assistants to support our passionate catering teams across Telford, Shrewsbury, Oswestry, Wombourne, Cannock, Whitchurch, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stafford. 

Our ShireLiving Schemes offer excellent services to our customers and a pleasurable working environment, where you can interact with our customers and support making a difference to people’s lives. The Catering teams deliver a range of breakfast and lunch options 7 days a week 365 days a year between the hours of 08:30am to 14:30pm, with a skilled catering team.

What you will be doing:

  • Preparing and serving quality food
  • Cleaning and organising the food preparation area
  • Have a friendly approach towards visitors and residents
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all visitors, residents and guests in a pleasing and polite manner
  • Monitoring the kitchen area to ensure sanitation standards are maintained.
  • Ensure the Café service areas are to a high standard
  • Washing dishes, cutlery, serving utensils, containers and tables 

About you: 

  • You will have experience of delivering excellent customer service
  • You will be someone who would embrace processes and procedures along with adding in a good measure of your creativity
  • You will be open to new ideas and thinking out of the box
