About the role

Are you passionate about creating engaging colleague experiences, bringing communications to life and helping people feel connected to the organisation they work for?

We're looking for a creative, proactive and forward-thinking Colleague Experience & Engagement Specialist to join our Talent & Engagement team within People Development & Culture.

In this exciting role, you'll help bring our People Strategy, culture and colleague experience priorities to life through engaging campaigns, communications and initiatives that inspire participation, connection and belonging across Housing Plus Group.

If you enjoy turning ideas into action, creating meaningful colleague experiences and finding innovative ways to engage people, we'd love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing

This is a varied role where no two days are the same.

One day you might be creating a campaign to launch a new people initiative, the next facilitating a focus group, planning colleague recognition activity or developing engaging content to support organisational priorities.

You'll:

  • Develop and deliver colleague engagement and internal communication campaigns aligned to our People Strategy and organisational goals.
  • Take campaigns from concept through to delivery and evaluation, considering audience, objectives, messaging, channels and success measures.
  • Create engaging written content, branded materials and digital assets that bring initiatives to life.
  • Introduce fresh thinking and innovative approaches to colleague communications and engagement.
  • Plan and facilitate workshops, focus groups, listening activities and engagement sessions.
  • Support colleague surveys and use insight, feedback and engagement data to inform future activity.
  • Coordinate colleague recognition programmes and campaigns that celebrate success and promote our values.
  • Support the development of our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and employer brand.
  • Work collaboratively with Communications & Marketing and stakeholders across the organisation to deliver joined-up engagement activity.
  • Measure and evaluate the impact of campaigns and use learning to continuously improve colleague experience and engagement.

What we’re looking for

We're seeking someone who combines creativity with strong delivery skills.

You'll be comfortable taking a business challenge or priority, developing ideas and creating effective engagement solutions that help colleagues understand, connect with and contribute to our organisation.

You'll bring:

  • Experience delivering colleague engagement, internal communications or employee communication campaigns.
  • Excellent written communication and content creation skills.
  • Strong creative and visual communication abilities, with experience producing high-quality branded materials and digital content.
  • Confidence using digital, design and content creation tools.
  • Experience tailoring communications for a variety of audiences and channels.
  • The ability to gather, interpret and use colleague feedback and engagement insight.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, focus groups and engagement activities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to influence, advise and challenge constructively.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.

Experience of employer branding, Employee Value Propositions (EVP), colleague networks, employee voice initiatives, surveys, photography, video or multimedia content would be advantageous.
