Job Title: Senior Business Insight Analyst 

Salary: £55,890 per annum 

Location: Stafford/Telford - Hybrid

Hours: 36 hours per week 

Contract Type: Permanent

We're looking for a talented and experienced Senior Business Insight Analyst to join our growing team.

You'll lead a specialist team, helping to shape our approach to data, business intelligence, and performance reporting while supporting colleagues across the organisation to make informed, evidence-based decisions.

Day in the life of a Senior Business Insight Analyst

 

As a Senior Business Insight Analyst, you'll lead a team specialising in one of the following areas:

  • Homes – Property, Investment and Repairs
  • Care and Central Services
  • Customer – Understanding our customers and the services they use

You'll play a key role in delivering our refreshed Data and Business Intelligence strategy, leading the development of reporting solutions, driving increased automation, and creating opportunities for self-service reporting across the organisation.

Working closely with stakeholders, you'll ensure that data is used effectively to improve decision-making, support operational performance, and deliver excellent customer outcomes. You'll also lead on strengthening data governance practices, ensuring robust controls, standards, and processes are in place.

Collaboration is central to this role. You'll build strong relationships with colleagues across the business to ensure the successful operation and continuous improvement of our Performance Reporting Framework. 

 

What we are looking for  

 

  • At least five years' experience in a data, business intelligence, or analytics role. 
  • Advanced SQL Server skills and strong experience with tools such as Power BI. 
  • Proven experience managing complex and varied workloads with excellent organisational and planning skills. 
  • Strong technical expertise with the ability to coach, mentor, and support others. 
  • Extensive experience designing and delivering data visualisations, dashboards, and reporting solutions. 
  • Demonstrable success in delivering data and insight through a variety of tools and formats. 
  • Strong understanding of data governance and regulatory requirements relating to data management. 
  • Significant experience in Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes. 
  • Experience leading the design and delivery of Performance Reporting Frameworks, including KPI development and performance measurement. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify practical solutions and drive improvements. 
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation skills. 
  • Outstanding attention to detail while maintaining a strategic perspective. 
  • Understanding of the challenges, regulations, and legal frameworks affecting the housing sector.
